While I was in Whistler, there were many restaurants in the Whistler Village. Overwhelmed by choices, I wished there was some easy simple guide. Looking which one was the most popular wasn’t easy because all restaurants were crowded. Here’s a quick guide to a few restaurants I have tried that may help your decision quicker.
Brew House – Walk in without worries
Like many other restaurants in Whistler Village, Brew House’s menu consists of burgers, pizza, salads, steaks and other plates. Everyone is happy. The price is on point with the satisfaction I get from every dish.
Like the name says it, Brew House brews its own beers. So anyone feeling a local beer, this might be the place.
I highly suggest their kale chicken. The ingredients were paired in a heavenly manner. Bits of goat cheese here and bits of dried cranberries there. I was swooned.
La Bocca – Avoid like a plague
This Italian restaurant was a huge disappointment. The service was not fantastic at all and the food was worse. The menu is overpriced for the food we get.
My gnocchi was 22$ and it was badly prepared. The mussels were pricey as well, and fries were not included.
There are better choices that are within a few steps away…
Peaked Pies – A pie to not miss
Easy quick meat, Peaked Pies can’t go wrong. Their pies are exquisite at a unarguably friendly price. Their pies can be topped with gravy, smashed green peas and smashed potatoes with an added price. Definitely taste better with the extra. But, be warned, to not be greedy and think you will need 2 pies, with the added toppings, these pies are very filling.
I highly suggest the curry pies, very fragrant and personally, taste the best out of all them.
Purebread – My pastry heaven
There is no way I can walk into this pastry shop without buying anything. Actually, I did and I regretted so much, that I had to return and buy 2 pastries all for myself. I really wish that Purebread can open one in Montreal. Actually, scratch that, or I would become so fat.
Deciding on which one to buy was the toughest decision. Everything looked incredibly tasty. Wtih a cup of tea, or a coffee, your afternoon is set to be amazing.
I just wish they would stay open till 9pm.
So in a big summary, Marc-Andre Jette, a former chef at Les 400 coups, opened...
This is my 2nd time at Maitre Chocolatier. The experience did not change at all....
