Cartel is all about street food. The twist is that they have incorporated several continent’s street food into one place: Asia, North America and South America (ok…Mexico isn’t exactly in south america, let’s not get too geographic now…)
I was excited for this concept! 3 in 1 how great is that! but…it was merely just false excitement…
Beef satay in the front – Taco in the back – Fries on the right
The price of these tapas weren’t expensive…but you need to order a few to satisfy your hunger. It’s a good concept if you are like me that always want to try many of the dishes in the menu.
Every Tuesday, Tacos are only 2$! You may need to eat quite a few before getting full though! I really don’t know what’s so special with these Tacos…
Crab cake
I did not like the crab cake…but I haven’t eaten one anywhere that made me love them either…They are just so plain…
Charlevoix Burger
Now this is the highlight of my visit!! I’m not often a burger person. But this burger won my heart! It was just so good! Beware – the burger is tiny! However, I was pro enough to cut this cute little burger into 2 without any mess!
If I ever come again – which i HIGHLY doubt, i think i would just stick with the burgers than the tacos…
This is another…unmemorable taco…
The service was alright. My waitress was very friendly and accommodating. However, it was rather disappointing that many items in their menu were unavailable. They did introduce some new items that were not written in the menu but on some blackboard at the bar. If i understood well, they are in the middle of changing their menu? Not sure.
Overall, I was very disappointed. The menu just seemed so promising…
