Regine: I can wait in line everyday for an hour to have this

Oh Regine, Regine, Regine… You are fabulous! I don’t remember when was the last time I was this excited for brunch.

The hype is real. We waited for a bit longer than a hour before we had a table. But with good company (Shout-out to Montreal Food Pictures, Un Voyage Gastronomique and obviously Mr.Butter), the time went by so quickly. Plus, free delicious cinnamon bread was distributed to us! This brought the waiting in line experience much more pleasant and we actually wanted to wait longer for the second batch to come out!

The menu is one page long, yet choosing the plate was the hardest decision I had to make. I had to bother the server a few times to help me. Although the place was full and the staff was extremely busy, the server made sure to take the time to serve us, answer all our questions and came to check up on us very frequently. We did not feel hurried even when the waiting line was not getting any shorter.

We were a great team. We each ordered something different to taste a bit of everything. But I think I need to come back again to order the ones we missed out on!

The portion of the meals was generous. When I read that comment from other blogs and saw their pictures, I did not believe them. But in person, the portion appears much bigger than in the pictures.

I had the Sucre Sale, perfect for those who can’t decide between sweet of salty brunch! It was served with 2 large slices of pain brioche with egg, shredded ham, 2 year aged cheddar and maple fudge. I loved a serving of salad was placed on the plate. The meal felt much more balanced.  Needless to say, I was just one happy camper.

When we were sharing our food around the table, I really couldn’t tell which one of us had the best brunch. They were all fantastic in their own color.

Regine really knows what brunch is about!
