My first trou de beigne was at Le Cheese . There was no choice, just the maple bacon one.
This time, Mr.Butter ordered a dozen with every available flavour. I was ecstatic! Perfect timing for my family paying a visit that day!
I excitedly opened the box and was blown away from the multitude of donuts nicely presented. My eyes twinkled.
You can’t possibly taste one donut. You have to try every single one. So, I cut 1/6 of each donut. The texture was exactly how I remembered, similar to Krispy Kreme but with more unique flavours. My favorites have to be the blueberry and lime coconut.
I really was not impressed by the matcha donut. I think it could have been milkier and stronger. The others were also mediocre.
My mom, being a very picky eater, said these donuts were more delicious than Leche Desserts . Mr.Butter thought the same too. Hmmm….I still think I preferred Leche Desserts, for a thicker, denser yet fluffier texture. At this rate, it is up to personal preference.
My family was all impressed by the donuts and had to resist hard from eating more.
I know trou de beigne is not placed at the most convenient location. But did you know they do delivery too?
