While supporting LeChop event a month back, I was drawn as a lucky winner for their last episode. A nice 3 meal course was awaiting me!
It was my first time stepping into Wienstein & Gavino’s and I was immediately taken aback by the size of the restaurant. It really didn’t look so big from the outisde. It has 3 floors: the bar on the first floor, the open kitchen on the second with a few tables and the third with mainly tables able to fit big groups.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. The service was well coordinated that no food arrived too early or too late. While tasting the dishes, I was still astounded by the space. I felt I was transported to a hybrid Old Port/New York City restaurant. I guess it has been a while I did not go to more family oriented restaurants. Definitely, very enjoyable.
I was told that the pasta was made freshly made in house. That’s always something I appreciate from restaurants. And although I did not have any pizza, I could tell they were good, cooking in a big pizza oven.
Wienstein & Gavino’s is perfect to host large groups. Italian food really can’t go wrong for a large crowd.
