I remember 4 years ago, there was only one Cacao70. The original one. On Ste-Catherine, between Atwater and Guy. It was packed and there was long waiting line. Fast forward, now there is one in every popular corner of Montreal: Quartier Latin, Parc and Mont-Royal (I just checked their site and it seems like there are some in Quebec city and even Ontario).
It has become a phenomenal franchise.
Yay for convenience and no more crazy waiting line! It can’t be all positive, can it?
To think my last cabane a sucre is at least 15 years ago is quite ridiculous! It is about time that I go to one.
So, when a friend presented the idea, I jumped right in.
Bol Orange, or Orange Bowl, opened up not too long ago on Decarie, right next to Cote-Vertu metro station. The turnover of restaurants is quite frequent on this area, so I was often skeptical to try any until a friend suggested Bol Orange.
For once, I was envious of Vanier students. For once, I wished I was a Vanier student.
Don’t be mistaken like me. Mon Ami BBQ is not Mon Ami restaurant. Mon Ami BBQ is a branch off from Mon Ami, like the name states, it just serves all you can eat Korean BBQ. But don’t worry, if you do go to the wrong Mon Ami, the distance between them is about 5-7 minutes walk away. They are on the same street.
While supporting LeChop event a month back, I was drawn as a lucky winner for their last episode. A nice 3 meal course was awaiting me!
