We all know grilled cheese is some fast but satisfying midnight snack. It’s quick and simple. Last few years, there had been some food truck popping up in Montreal that specialized in grilled cheese, but none of them really wooed me. The best one I had was from Le Cheese .
But the grilled cheese game didn’t stop at Le Cheese. MLT DWN, based in Kingston, opened up their doors on Mont-Royal and is making one of the most gourmet grilled cheese I’ve tasted!
So in a big summary, Marc-Andre Jette, a former chef at Les 400 coups, opened his own restaurant in Rosemont. A very unusual location for his delicate cuisine, but somehow it fits.

Bringing my mother to a restaurant is always a challenge, especially when it is for her birthday. She has high standards so I need a flawless restaurant.
Salmigondis has been on my radar while surfing on instagram. The pictures were fantastic. After asking around for opinions about Salmigondis, I was determined that Salmigondis would meet all my expectations.

I was curious and we cannot deny that Mandy’s salad is on the expensive side. If I can have a just as great salad offered at a lower price, why wouldn’t I?
Ramen scene just got real in Montreal! Schlouppe Bistrot Nakamichi opened its doors in January 2016 and is bringing their ramen recipe straight from Japan.
If observed diligently, there is “est. 1956” written on their window. But wait, I thought this is new? Then, the waitress explained that the chef worked at Nakamichi in Japan and told the original owner that he would bring it to oversea. And here it is, being realized!
So just how does it taste like?
