Shopping around Dix30, I cannot help but notice this restaurant at the heart of the Square. With its thousand warm tone lights pertrubing beaming through the windows, Le Sociale easily attracts a lovely and dynamic crowd.
It was a perfect place to have a long conversation with a friend, which is exactly what happened during my visit.
The menu offers a well-balanced number of dishes. Tapas were the most predominant, which suited the occasion beautifully.
We had 3 tapas that evening. Grilled octopus was one of the 3 tapas we had. It was served with chick peas. I was looking forward to the grilled octopus, but I was left disappointed. I find the octopus was a bit overcooked, or simply because it has passed its peak of freshness.
Giant shrimps were also part of the 3 chosen tapas. They were lovely. The meat was juicy and it was nicely incorporated with avocado. Sadly, I think this specific appetizer is removed from the menu.
And of course, the classic appetizer, salmon tartare. The twist of this tartare was the finely chopped cucumber, something I don’t usually see being paired with tartare. It was a refreshing flavor.
Storing a wonderful ambiance matched with an equally pleasant menu, Le Social assures a pleasurable evening.
