Pho MyMy is located right beside Marche Centrale. Their parking lot is quite tiny so big cars are really not suggested.
I’ve heard of Pho MyMy last summer (wow already a year!) and thought I would have the chance to slurp the noodles when winter comes (but I guess no occassion ever came). Their Bun Boe Hue is their signature or so I heard. Knowing spicy dishes appeal to me, I had to add it to my list to try.
Just like most pho places, this is a relatively small restaurant with simple decor. Exactly how I want pho restaurant to look like: Minimal. You go in and out. Price range of the bowls range around 10$.
Without any exaggeration, the bowls came within 5 minutes after the order went in. Faster than fast food. Quite impressive. But I have to note that we went for early supper (5pm), so not very busy yet. By the time we left, the restaurant was ~50% full.
My bun boe hue was not as spicy as I had expected. The broth was not rich enough either. Let just say, I was disappointed. It was a mediocre bun boe hue, nothing extraordinary.
On the bright side, the complementary beant sprout, Thai basil, sawtooth herb, lime and chili were bountiful.
Mr.Butter had the original pho and it was great in taste. But again, nothing stood out.
I know what is fried banana as dessert, but I have not heard of fried pineapple. So we ordered some. They were not amazing. I think I would have enjoyed fried banana more. The fried pineapple was very nutty with the help of sesame seeds. I have to admit that it was fried beautifully, but simply put, not my cup of tea.
Maybe their bun boe hue is not mesmerising, but their pho are still great. With that price and quantity, there should be no complaint.
